Jim Everett

Jim Everett, Bristol High School (1962)

When Jim graduated from Bristol HS in 1962, he held the school records for: most points in career, 694; most points in a season, 392 (1961‑62, second in Elkhart County with a 20.6 average); most rebounds in a season, 232, as well as most rebounds in one game, 22; most field goals attempted and made in one season, 152/331; and most free throws attempted in a season, 133. In the 1961-62 season, Jim was team MVP and also was awarded the free throw trophy for high percentage. He also lettered two years in cross-country and baseball as well as one year in track. Following high school, Jim played basketball at Olivet College, averaging more than 12 points per game over an 80-game, four-year career. He received the outstanding team captain award from Olivet in 1964 and 1965.
