* Track – discus and shot put, set school and Elkhart city meet record of 163-7 in discus, shot put mark of 54-10 is fifth-best in school history, member of two NIC and sectional championship teams

* College – Northwestern University (1978), four-year letterwinner, three-year starter for football team.
