Dale Rems

Dale Rems, Elkhart Memorial High School (Coach)

Dale served eleven seasons as the Head Football Coach at Memorial and was inducted into the Indiana Football Hall of Fame in 2002. Dale also had served as an assistant coach at Mishawaka and South Bend Riley High Schools. He was also an assistant for eight years and head coach for two years at South Bend Jackson. Dale also served three years as Assistant Wrestling Coach and eight seasons as Head Wrestling Coach. A graduate of South Bend Central High School, Dale was a three-year letterman in both football and basketball and a two-year letterman in track graduating in 1956. He played football three years at Purdue University, earned three varsity letters and graduated in 1961. At Purdue he won the Nobel E. Kizer award for scholastic and athletic achievement and later played professional football with the New York Giants. Dale was a winner of the 1993 Jim Andrews Achievement Award for contributions to Elkhart County High School Football.
